IAS Exam-2011-12: UPSC declared Final Result

Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) on Friday declared the results of the Civil Services 2011-12 examinations. The Civil Services (Preliminary) Examination, 2011 was conducted on June 12, 2011. A total of 4,72,290 candidates applied for the examination, out of which 2,43,003 candidates actually appeared. For the Main written examination held in October-November, 2011 a total of 11984 candidates were declared qualified out of which 2417 candidates were selected for the Personality Test conducted in March-April, 2012.

The list includes in order of merit the roll no and name of candidates who have been recommended for appointment to –
I.  Indian Administrative Service;
II. Indian Foreign Service;
III.Indian Police Service; and
IV. Central Services, Group ‘A’ and Group ‘B’

A total number of 910 candidates were recommended for appointment including 420 General (including 21 Physically Challenged candidates), 255 Other Backward Classes (including 8 Physically Challenged candidates), 157 Scheduled Castes (including 4 Physically Challenged candidate) and 78 Scheduled Tribes candidates.
