The Union Service Public Commission (UPSC) has recommended 96 candidates from the reserve list to fill up the remaining posts based on Civil Services Examination, 2007.

An official press release said that they included 65 General, 30 Other Backward Classes and 1 Scheduled Castes category candidates.

The results of the Civil Services (Main) Examination, 2007 were declared in June, 2008 recommending 638 candidates in order of merit for appointment to the Indian Administrative Service (IAS), the Indian Foreign Service (IFS), the Indian Police Service (IPS) and Central Services Group “A” and Group “B”.

The Commission, in accordance with the relevant rule, had maintained a consolidated Reserve List in order of merit below the last recommended candidate under the respective category.

The Union Service Public Commission (UPSC) has announced the result of the Civil Services (Preliminary) Examination, 2010 held on May 23, 2010.

“The successful candidates have qualified for admission to the Civil Services (Main) Examination 2010. The candidature of these candidates is provisional. In accordance with the rules of the examination, all these candidates have to apply again in the detailed application form, which is available on UPSC’s official website,” said an official press release.

The completed form has to be sent to the Commission duly filled in by the candidate in their own handwriting, for admission to the Main Examination scheduled to be held from October 29, 2010. A copy of the Detailed Application Form (DAF) shall also be sent by post to the successful candidates by the Commission.

In case any of the successful candidates do not receive a communication in this regard from the Commission by September 8, 2010, they should immediately contact the Commission.

UPSC have a Facilitation Centre near Examination Hall Building in its Campus from where candidates may obtain any information or clarification during working hours in person or over telephone.

The Union Service Public Commission (UPSC 2009) has declared the result of the Civil Services (Preliminary) Examination, 2009. The UPSC Preliminary examinations were held on May 17, 2009. The results are available at www.upsc.gov.in.

The successful candidates will be able for Main Examination scheduled to be held from October 23, 2009.

According to the UPSC release, the the successful candidates does not receive a communication in this regard from the Commission by August 21, 2009, he/she should immediately contact the Commission.

The result of Roll Nos. 198815, 402275, 161998, 173709, 217025, 221826, 222306 & 222466 has been withheld.
